Michael Reichmann
Director, Writer, Music Composer

When Michael finished school he looked at a career as a composer and pianist. Having won prizes as a young composer, he was asked to write music for a film project called "Die große Klappe" (the big clap). The project brought together young people of all talents (writer, musicians, actors etc.) to celebrate 100 years of film by making a film. Not only did Michael write music for that project, but he acted in it and helped writing some parts of the script as well. Nonetheless, he followed his plan to study music in Dresden, Germany. In 2001 Michael went to study in Mumbai, India. At Mumbai University he met Ana. They shared a mutual love for film, theatre and the arts. They wrote and directed a play that pushed the boundaries of traditional theatre. Furthermore, they wrote and filmed the travelogue "Myst of McLeod-Ganj" for which Maikol also composed part of the music. In 2001 Ana and Michael founded inDiVisual films in Mumbai. They have since then continued to film projects under the inDiVisual films banner around the globe, from Australia and the US to Mumbai slums and war-torn Africa. He graduated with an MA in sociology and English literature from Hamburg University in 2007. Based in Hamburg, Germany, Michael realized many projects at home and abroad as filmmaker, music composer, writer, director of photography, producer and even actor. From short fiction to feature from horror-film to documentary - Michael is home in any genre.
