The director of a new documentary film says Australia is failing to take advantage of the skills of international students.
Ana Tiwary says foreign students should be an asset to Australia in this, the so-called Asian Century.
She says many international students fill menial jobs when they could be helping Australian businesses connect to new markets in Asia and increase tourism.
Ana Tiwary has told Ildi Amon she hopes her documentary focusing on Indian students, Sunshine and Shade, will change the way Australians view international students generally.
